Our Programs — Immigration Legal Services & Support

Real help, honestly explained.

Every service below is delivered by a DOJ-recognized program, supervised by a licensed attorney, in a language you understand.

  • Free or low-cost

Income-based fees, and we help you apply for fee waivers.

  • English & Spanish

Interpreters and translated documents for other languages too.

  • Confidential

What you tell us stays with your case team.

  • Attorney supervised

A full-time licensed attorney oversees every case plan.

Before anything else

What DOJ recognition means for you.

Anyone can call themselves an “immigration helper.” Only DOJ-accredited representatives and licensed attorneys can give you legal advice. Here is how to tell the difference.

Protect yourself from scams

If someone promises a green card for cash on the spot, walk away — and call us instead.

  • Ask to see proof of DOJ accreditation or a law license. A “notario” is not an attorney.
  • Never sign a blank form or leave original documents with a stranger.
  • Be wary of anyone who guarantees an outcome or asks for cash without a receipt.

What OLAP recognition means

OLAP is the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Access Programs. Recognition means our organization has been authorized to provide immigration legal services, and our representatives are accredited and supervised.

  • Our program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Every case is overseen by a full-time licensed attorney.
  • We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, not a private business.
  • You can verify our recognition with the DOJ.

If you are ever unsure whether someone is legitimate, call us at (682) 350-2494. Asking is free.

We stay with you

From paperwork to the interview — and a ride there.

An appointment can feel like the scariest part. You do not have to arrive alone.

  1. Prepare

We review your documents, rehearse the questions, and make sure nothing is missing.

  2. Represent

A licensed attorney or accredited representative accompanies you to USCIS when needed.

  3. Ride

Volunteers can drive you to USCIS offices across the DFW area if transportation is a barrier.

Support services

The help around the help.

Legal cases move slowly. Life does not. These services exist so a family can keep moving while a case is open.

Service questions

Specific questions, direct answers.

Sometimes. It depends on the offense, the date, and the type of case. We assist with minor records as they affect immigration petitions and will give you an honest answer about your options. Do not guess — bring your paperwork and let us review it.

Yes. VAWA cases are confidential by law, and we do not share your information with the person who harmed you. Your safety comes first. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

If a physical or mental health condition makes it very difficult to learn English or take the civics test, you may qualify for an exemption or accommodation. We can explain the medical form and help you request it.

Yes. We help with renewals and will explain any current changes in the rules. Because DACA policy changes, call us before you pay any fee to anyone.

Yes, when the case requires it. We prepare you for the interview and, where permitted, attend with you. Volunteers may also be able to provide a ride.

We help you apply for a fee waiver when you are eligible. Not every application qualifies, but we will check before you pay anything.

Not sure if we can help? Ask us — the answer is free.

Tell us what is happening in your own words. You do not need the right legal term to start.
